How to add a family?

To create a family in a PIM, follow these steps:

1. Access the PIM Settings section and select Family

2. Click on the "+ Create Family" button to initiate the family creation process.

3. In the family creation interface, you will typically enter a unique code or identifier for the family. This code should be concise and descriptive, representing the family's purpose or category.
   Once you have defined the family code, save the family by clicking on the "Create" button.

4. The family will be created and added to the PIM, becoming available for use in product definition.

How to edit a family?

To edit a family and add attributes in the PIM, follow these steps:

1. Access the PIM Settings section.

2. Locate and select the specific family you want to edit.

3. Within the family details to edit attributes click the “Attributes” tab on the top. 

4. Click on the "Add Attribute(s)" button to initiate the attribute editing process.

5. In the attribute editing interface, you will typically encounter the following options:
   a. "Add Attributes": Click on the "Add Attribute(s)" button to add desired attributes to the family. This will open a list of available attributes or attribute groups. Select the attributes you want to add from the list or choose an attribute group to add multiple attributes at once.
   b. "Sort Attributes": If necessary, you can sort the attributes within the family by clicking on the "Sort Attributes" button. This allows you to rearrange the order in which the attributes are displayed or prioritize certain attributes.
   c. "Remove Attribute": To remove an attribute from the family, select the attribute from the list and click on the "Remove Attribute" button. This will remove the attribute from the family, but it will still exist within the system and can be added to other families if needed.

6. Save the changes: Once you have added, sorted, or removed attributes according to your requirements, save the changes to update the family configuration.
