The Alert(s) screen within the system is designed as a security feature to prevent uncontrolled discounts in promotional campaigns. This section allows the system to automatically send an alert email to designated recipients whenever a defined discount threshold is exceeded. This ensures that promotional policies remain within pre-set limits and helps prevent potential financial losses.

Under the Discount Alert heading, two types of control mechanisms can be defined:

  • Maximum Percentage Discount Exceeded:
The value entered here defines the maximum allowable percentage for any discount. If a promotion exceeds this percentage, the system will automatically send an alert email to the specified recipients. If this field is left blank or set to "0", no alert will be triggered.

  • Maximum Fixed Discount Amount Exceeded:
This field allows you to define a maximum fixed discount amount. If a promotion provides a fixed discount that exceeds this value, an alert email will be sent to the designated recipients. This ensures that discount-related campaign costs are kept under control. Similar to the percentage threshold, if the value is set to "0", no alert will be generated.

After entering the desired values in these fields, users can click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to apply the settings. This feature plays a crucial role in automating risk management and control processes, especially in large-scale campaigns.
